You can remotely control the camera of another participant or another Zoom Room if you are using an iPad controller version 4.0 or later. The camera automatically adjusts to show the optimal view based on the location of people in the room. Tap the Camera Control icon, and then enable the Intelligent Zoom option by clicking the toggle.

  • If you are using a PanaCast v3 or Huddly IQ, you can use the Intelligent Zoom (or Auto-Framing) feature for that camera.
  • If you do not want to use the mirror effect for your own video display (where the display of your own Zoom Room looks like a mirror), you can disable this setting by clicking the toggle.
  • Tap Done to return to the meeting controls.
  • Use the icons on the Camera Control popup to zoom and pan until the camera is in the position you need.
  • If your Zoom Room uses a PTZ Camera with UVC controls, you can use your iPad controller to move the camera to a different position. Any UVC compliant device will allow UVC pan/tilt/zoom control of that camera, if implemented correctly on the device.
  • Note: UVC is defined as "USB Video Class", which is a standardized set of protocols developed by the USB Implementers Forum and is assigned to a device class of USB devices that stream video.

If more than two cameras are available in the Zoom Room, you can dynamically choose which one is active by selecting it from a list when you tap Switch Camera on the Zoom Rooms controller. The Zoom Rooms controller also supports far end camera control and camera presets. Zoom Rooms allows you to control your local HD camera during a meeting with the Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) functionality.
